Nelson Mandela and Faith Bandler crossed paths. Faith is renowned in Australia for her seminal involvement
in the most successful referendum campaign in Australian history in 1967. |

| As the then long-standing general-secretary of the Federal Council for the Advancement of Aborigines & Torres Strait Islanders (FCAATSI), Faith
was at the helm of the campaign for a "Yes" vote in the 1967 referndum. The result was the greatest "Yes" vote in
any Australian referendum in history, when more than 92% of Australians voted in the affirmative. |
